Become More Like Christ
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him.
Colossians 3:10
To “put on the new man” pictures someone putting on a coat. The new coat is labeled “Jesus Christ.” The characteristics of Jesus’ personality should be found in our personalities. Picture yourself with a zipper from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. Now unzip your skin and invite Jesus’ qualities to come inside with you. Let Him put His head-His mind, His attitude, His thoughts-into your head. His arms and hands into your arms and hands; His heart into your heart;His legs and feet into your legs and feet. Now zip yourself back up. You won’t feel Him physically, but He is there. Now let Him direct your thoughts, your attitudes, your actions, your tongue, your hands, and your feet! How different would your life be if that were true? Take that image with you today and see how it affects your life.
