Girls
in Action® is a missions organization for girls in
grades 1-6.
“And in that day you
will say, Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name.
Make known His deeds among the peoples’ Make them
remember that His name is exalted.” – Isaiah 12:4
Girls in Action® (GA’s) is a Christ-centered program for
girls in grades 1-6. GA’s is a ministry of the Women’s
Missionary Union and seeks to instill the WMU’s zeal for
missions in the next generation of WMU leaders. Here at Enon,
the girls meet every Wednesday at 7pm. The class begins with an
activity that introduces the lesson focused on mission work
around the world. There are also opportunities to earn rewards
and badges by completing activities and projects from their
workbooks. Typically these awards are given at a banquet held
annually in August.
In addition to the weekly meetings, girls also have the
opportunity to participate in mission projects in their own
community. Some girls also choose to attend Camp
La Vida (South Carolina’s GA Camp) in the summer where
they learn even more about drawing near to the Lord by involving
themselves in his work both here and around the world.
Our GA leaders are committed to equipping, encouraging,
and empowering girls
to grow and mature in their faith in order that they know Christ
and make Him known.
In GA®, girls:
 | learn what missionaries do.
 | pray for missionaries and their work.
 | discover how they can help other people.
 | save and give money to help tell other people about Jesus.
 | learn about people around the world
 | have fun with friends! |
